Gounod Romandy Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow for Gounod Romandy, 48, one of California's most eminent artists, who died last Thursday at his residence, 721 N. Vista St., following a brief illness. For the last 10 years Romandy was a concertmaster and first violinist at the Walt Disney studios. He also was prominent in art circles, being a life member of the Laguna Beach Art Association. He was affiliated with the California Art Club and Painters and Sculptors Club. Romandy leaves his widow, Mrs. Jean Romandy; a son, Gounod Jr.; a daughter, Diane, and his mother, Mrs. Emma Romandy. Services will be at 1 p.m. at the Dave J. Malloy Chapel, 1717 S. Flower St. LAGUNA BEACH — Funeral services were conducted today at Malloy Funeral home, Los Angeles, for Gounod Romandy widely known Laguna Beach and Los Angeles musician and painter who died last Thursday at his Los Angeles home, 721 N. Vista St., following a brief illness. In the musical world Romandy was known as an accomplished violinist. For a number of years he held the position of concert master at the Walt Disney studios, Hollywood. Up to five years ago Romandy took an active interest in the affairs of the Laguna Beach Art association, holding a life membership and serving for two terms on the board of directors. He also was affiliated with the California Art club and the Painters and Sculptors of California. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Jean Romandy; a son, Gounod jr.; a daughter, Diane, and his mother, Mrs. Emma Romandy, all of Los Angeles. | ||||
