Mrs. Harry (Lillian) Detwiller, 86, died Sat. morning (June 30, 1979) in the nursing
home in Cooperstown where she had been a resident for several years. The funeral was in St. George's Catholic Ch. Tues. Lillian E. Williams was born Apr. 8, 1893 in New Richmond, Wis. She came to Griggs Co. as a young woman to teach school. She was married to Harry Detwiller June 23, 1920 in New Richmond. Except for two years in Wis., they lived in Griggs Co. and farmed before moving to Cooperstown in 1946. Mr. Detwiller died July 13, 1967. Mrs. D. is survived by two sons, William of Cooperstown and Patrick of Hillsboro, N.D. and two daughters, Mrs. Herman Palzkill of Mineral Point, Wis. and Mrs. Joe Zimprich, Jr. Aneta, N.D., four brothers, Jerry and Leo Williams of New Richmond, Al Williams, Chicago, and Bill Williams, Pawnee, Ill., a sister Mrs. Ursula Armstrong, Seattle, 30 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. |
