William Andrew Detwiller Obituary
| William Andrew Detwiller. B. Sept. 3, 1927 d. Apr. 9, 1943. Youth died in Wisconsin. Cancer fatal to son of Griggs couple who left here in 1936. William, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Detwiller left here in 1936 to make their home in Wis., died at the home of his parents in Menonomie last Friday after suffering for a period of three months with cancer of the spine. He had been operated on at a Minneapolis hospital and had returned to his home some time before his death. Funeral services were held at a Menonomie mortuary Monday of this week with services later at the Little Elk Grove Creek Lutheran Ch., the service being under the direction of Rev. Gerald Giving. He was born in Tyrol Twp. Sept. 3, 1927 and was a little more than 15 years old. He was an honor student in Menonomie H.S. Last week his condition became worse and Mrs. Belle Detwiller was called to be at his bedside. Sunday evening his uncle Ronald D. left to attend funeral services. Both returned here yesterday afternoon. |
