The cause of death is unknown, pending a doctor's report.] Brown, a native of American Fork, Utah, lived in Highland [San Bernardino] 69 years. He was a machinist for Santa Fe Railway for 45 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was first bishop on the church's San Bernardino ward. He was also a member of the High Council and stake patriarch. He is survived by his wife Lynn; four sons, William A. of Grand Terrace, Donald W. of Yucaipa, David B. of Lake Arrowhead and Christopher N.B. Day of Running Springs; six daughters, Iris A. Hannah of Redlands, Betty I. Green of Yucaipa, Ella J. Stewart of Magna, Utah, Virginia N. Roe of Gilroy, Kay I. Simmons of Portland, Ore., and Frances C. Fairbanks of Orem, Utah; a sister, Virginia Faddis of Orem, Utah; two brothers, Frank of American Fork and John Morris of Highland; 49 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow [today] at Grove Colonial Mortuary, 738 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 7000 Central Ave., Highland. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery, 570 Highland Ave., San Bernardino. |
