In the 1930 U.S. census, Webb K. Brown, 27, and his wife Iris I. Brown, 25, were living at
1581 Mt. Vernon Ave., San Bernardino, San Bernardino, California. They owned their
home valued at $2,500, and did not have a radio set. Webb was a machinist for
the railroad shops. Their children were I. Aileen, 3, born in Utah; Betty L., 2,
Donald W., 1, and Ella J., 13 days, all born in California. Also in the household
was Webb's sister, F. Virginia Brown, 20, born in Utah.

for the railroad, and had earned $1880 in the prior year. Both he and Iris had

of high school; Betty, 12, 7th grade; Donald, 11, 5th grade; Joan, 10, fifth grade;
Billy, 8, third grade; Virginia, 6, first grade; and Kay, 2.
Webb was a machinist for the Santa Fe Railway for 45 years, and was an active
member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, He was the first bishop
in the San Bernardino Ward, and a member of the High Council and stake patriarch.
Iris was also active in the LDS Church, serving as president of the San Bernardino
Third Ward and San Bernardino County Relief Societies.
Iris I. Brown died 12 Apr 1971 in Highland, San Bernardino, California. She was
buried in the Mountain View Cemetery, San Bernardino, San Bernardino, California.
Webb K. Brown, 68, married Lynn Wynder Day, 54, on 16 Oct 1971 in Los Angeles,
Los Angeles, California.
Webb King Brown died 1 Sep 1991 in Highland,
San Bernardino, California. His residence in 1991 was 7432 San Francisco St.,
Highland, California. Services were held 6 Sep 1991 at the Latter-day Saints
Stake Center, Highland. He was buried in the Mountain View Cemetery,
San Bernardino. Lynn died in 1999, and shares a headstone with him. |
