Notes: Bud and Vi bought this house that overlooked the city of Napa. It had
hardwood floors, a small breakfast nook off of the kitchen, a living room, two
bedrooms, and one bathroom. It was built in 1938 and had 1006 square feet.
In the 1940 U.S. census, Bud, 24, and Vi, 19, were living here with their son Daniel, 5 months.
Bud was listed as a salesman for a petroleum company. They owned the house, valued
at $4,000. The census lists the address as 1210 Banks Ave. Vi received the house
when Bud and Vi's divorce was final on 15 Sep 1941.
The photo at the right shows the 1206 Banks Avenue house in its July 2006
condition. It looks almost the same now as it did back in the 1940s. |
