Notes: Wilfred and Nora moved to Calistoga with their daughters so that
Wilfred could install electricity in the town of Calistoga.
Prior to this, most of Calistoga had no electricity especially
in the homes. Wilfred often mentioned his experiences in
converting wine cellars in the area from gas to electric lighting.
Canary Cottage, where they stayed, was probably a rental unit.
It snowed during the winter of 1915. Wilfred and Nora took these three
photographs to record their daughters enjoying this unusual event.
Wilfred had a second job running the projector at a Calistoga movie theater.
While living in Calistoga, Nora would frequently visit Napa by boarding
the electric car that went through Napa by way of Jefferson Street and
stopped at the Napa depot located at Third and Soscal.
Son Warren was born in Calistoga on 18 May 1915.
The family returned to Napa about one year after Warren's birth
when Wilfred finished his electrical work. The assignment to Calistoga
had lasted two years.
