Notes: Wilfred and Nora enjoyed taking photographs of people on their front porch
or in their front yard at the 824 Pine Street location. The two photos at
the right are only two of many that are in Nora's photograph album
(Source 733). These were taken in 1917.
Of course, without modern flash equipment, they could only take outdoor pictures.
Unfortunately, some of the people in the photos can no longer be identified.
Wilfred was good at making play equipment for his children. In their yard
he built a swing with a large seat (see photo at the right) and a
teeter-totter (see photo below). Leola, Bee, and Bud enjoyed playing
on them. Leola later labelled the photo at the left "The Three Little Pigs".
Daughter Ruth was born on 11 Mar 1917 and was, of course, too young to be
out playing with her sisters and brother.
Wilfred continued to work for Earl G. Wilson, the electrical contractor at
59 N. Main Street, during these years. He often would drive Earl Wilson's
truck home as can be seen in both of the photos at the right. The
two American flags attached to the windshield of the truck may be in celebration
of the World War I Armistice signed in November of 1918.
Wilfred and Nora moved on to their next residence in either 1918 or 1919.
