Notes: *There is a conflict relative to Millie's year of birth. The 1900 U.S. census for Napa reports that Millie was born in 1894; however, her death certificate and two family histories (Sources 32 and 85) report her born in 1896. The latter birth year is judged to be correct.
At the time of the 1900 census, Millie was three years old and living at Blue Mountain
in Napa County with her mother and siblings — while her father George lived
and worked in Vacaville, California. In the Fall of 1905 George moved his family down from Blue Mountain to to a new family residence at 21 North Street in the city of Napa. George, however, remained in Vacaville. The photo at the left shows the family in 1908. Millie's mother Lucy died in Dec 1913. The photo at the right shows Millie — probably during her high school years. By the date of the 1920 census, Millie was 23 years old and living with her sister Nora, Nora's husband Wilfred, and their young family at 2425 Second Street in Napa. Millie married one year later — in 1921. The photo at the left shows Millie in 1925. The first photo at the right shows Millie during a Samuels family gathering in 1941. The second photo at the right shows Millie with her father and four sisters at Vacaville circa 1942. Millie passed on in the Sacramento Medidical Center, Sacramento on 3 May 1970 at the age of 73. She is buried in the Sierra Hills Memorial Park, Sacramento.
