Notes:  Elizabth Anna Hooker was born in 1797 in North Carolina.  Her parents are unknown.  The only place that the name Anna appears is in an obituary of her son Hiram Jackson.  She married James Jackson on 6 Oct 1816 in Montgomery, Ohio.  Fourteen children were born of this union.

In the 1820 U.S. census, Elizabeth was living with her husband, James Jackson, in Wayne, Randolph (now Delaware), Indiana.  Their children, Hiram and Rachael, were both under ten years.  James bought land in this county on 20 Dec 1823.

In the 1830 U.S. census, Elizabeth and James were living in the Liberty Twp., Delaware, Indiana.  They now had seven children.  They moved to Wells County, Indiana on 17 January 1937. They along with Harry Mossburg were the first settlers in Liberty Twp., Wells County.  James was granted a land patent in Sec. 10 on 1 Aug 1837 upon which he built a log cabin.  Their son Hiram Jackson was granted a land patent in Sec. 15 on 1 Aug 1837.

In the 1840 U.S. census, Elizabeth and James were living in Liberty Twp., Wells, Indiana.  James was now identified as working in agriculture.  They had seven children still at home.

In the 1850 U.S. census, Elizabeth, 53, and James, 63, were still in Liberty Twp., Wells County.  James is now identified as a farmer.  The children at home were Levi, 26, William, 23, Samuel, 16, Hannah, 16, and Benjamin, 1.  James' real estate was valued at $800.  Levi, William, and Samuel were also farmers, with Levi's real estate valued at $1,000. and William's at $300.  Elizabeth's husband, James Jackson, died 8 Dec 1853, at the age of 68, in Wells County, Indiana.

In the 1860 U.S. census, Elizabeth Jackson, 64, now a widow, was living with her son, Levi Jackson, 36, and his wife, Lucy A., 33, in Liberty Twp., (Bluffton P.O.), Wells, Indiana.  Levi was a farmer, with real estate valued at $1500. and person estate at $400.  In the household were their three children, James, 5, Amelia, 3, and Mary A., 1.  Also Shepphard F. Dunn, 11, and Sylvester N. Dunn, 10, Lucy's children from her first marriage.

Elizabeth Jackson died Mar 1865 in Wells County, Indiana.  She is buried in the McFarren Cemetery, Bluffton, Wells, Indiana..
