In the 1931 through 1933 directories, their address was 1016½ 6th Street, Modesto.
William married Josephine Coughran on 1 Feb 1935 in Matamoros, Tamailipas, Mexico.
Matamoros is a border town about 100 miles south of Corpus Christi, Texas. Her name
on the registration was Josephine Duncan McFarren, indicating her prior marriage and her
current relationship with William. They divorced before 1940.
William H. McFarren, 74, and Josephine Coughran, 74, married a second time on 7 Mar 1951 in
Stanislaus County, California. Their address from 1952 on was 706 Atlantic Drive, Modesto.
William died 5 Jul 1959 in Modesto. Josephine died 14 Jan 1960 in Modesto. Both are
buried in the Wood Colony Cemetery, Salida, Stanislaus, California. |
