Notes: William and Susannah owned land in West Deer Township (later named
Richland Township), Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, for several decades.
When William's brother Joseph and Joseph's wife Mary Ann sold their
adjacent 59 acres and 271 perches on 23 Mar 1858, William and Susannah,
along with three other Williams brothers and their wives, signed
the Indenture to Quit Claim their interest in Joseph's land
(Source 188).
At the time of the 1860 census, William and Susannah were living with two
children and a farm laborer, John Slacker, age 17, and a domestic, Jane
McCaw, age 28. |
