Notes: A family story says that Harriet was from an upper class family and her parents did
not approve of her marrying a butcher's son.
Robert and Harriet moved from England to Canada in 1851 and then lived in Toronto
for 5½ years.
After that they moved to Jura, Bosanquet Township in Lambton County, where they
farmed and raised their family.
In 1894 they moved to 10th concession Bosanquet, and then moved to Forest on Clyde
Street in 1895.
They remained in Forest for the rest of their lives —
and were married for 66½ years. |
