Notes: Several family trees (Source 1154) give their
marriage date as one year later on 11 Aug 1798.
The seven children were all born in Northiam, Sussex, England.
The Catts reportedly had very limited resources.
In 1838, four of the children (Jane, William, Harriett, and Hannah), then grown,
left England and sailed, with their spouses, for a new life in New South Wales,
Australia. However, Jane and Hannah died during their voyages.
In 1848, seven years after Elizabeth's death, son Henry moved to Ontario, Canada.
In 1860 his brother Stephen (#2), Stephen's wife, and most of their children also moved to Ontario, Canada. |
