- For accuracy, a comparison was made of the transcriptions in the following three sources of the
same burial data:
- Those in the above table.
- Those from GENUKI: Devon, Devon, titled Ashreigney - Burials 1813-1867/
- Those in the Source 1449 table of
Hancock Burials in Devon from 1813 to 1837.
There was total agreement in the Burial Dates recorded in all three of these sources,
but variances as to the ages of the two young girls as follows:
- Hancock, Ann: 14yr 10mo in the above table vs. 6yr 10m in the latter two sources.
- Hancock, Mary: 7yr 8mo in the above table vs. 1yr 8mo in the latter two sources.
I concluded that the ages of the two girls are probable incorrect in the above table.
- *The surnames Rippon and Heyward appear in Ashreigney burial records, but
are spelled Rippin and Heywood in Ashreigney marriage
