Notes: In 1930, R. Christian and Elizabeth Miller were living at 60 Woodbridge Avenue
in Metuchen, New Jersey. They had two daughters, Elizabeth, age 8, and Margaret,
age 5. R.C was a foreman in an electrolytic refinery, specifically the Raritan
Copper Works. The 1940 census reported that they owned their home, worth $9,000.
In 1939, R.C. had earned $3,000. working as a supervisor for the "copper works".
Their daughters were now ages 18 and 15. In 1942 when R. Christian registered for the
World War II draft, he was working for the International Smelting & Refining Company in
Perth Amboy, New Jersey. |
