Notes: In the 1906 Canada census, Charles Detwiller, 30, and his wife Martha Detwiller, 30,
both born in Ontario, were living in the Brandon census district of Manitoba, with a Hayfield Post
Office address. They had two children, Gordon, age 2, ( born in Mar 1904) and Marjory, born
22 Oct 1905, both born in Manitoba. Charles was a farmer, and was farming on the next farm to
his father, John Detwiller. The family had 10 horses, 8 milk cows,
10 other cattle, and 15 pigs. A male servant, 25, was living in the household.
Margaret was born in March 1907, and Florence in July 1909. The family moved to
Saskatchewan prior to the 1911 census. |
