Notes: In the 1916 Canada census of Saskatchewan, Henry Bieker, 56, and Eva Bieker, 53,
both born in Germany, were farmsteading in Englefeld, specifically Twp. 38, Range 19, W2,
Regional Municipality of St. Peter #369, Humbolt, Saskatchewan. They had immigrated from the
United States in 1913. Henry had been a doctor in the old country, but was now a farmer,
farming on his own account.
Henry and Eva had ll children, seven sons, and four daughters. The children enumerated in
this census, all born in the United States (Kansas), were Allie, 25,
Paul, 24, Gregory, 18, Florence, 16, John, 14, Frank, 12, and Henry Jr., 10. Allix had
immigrated to Canada in 1909, and had become a Canadian citizen in 1912. The rest of the
children had immigrated in 1913 with their parents. Allie, Paul and Gregory were farmer's sons,
working on the homestead.
Eva Bieker died prematurely of a stroke on 30 Aug 1919. She is buried in the Holy Guardian Angels
Roman Catholic Cemetery, Englefeld District, R.M. of St. Peter # 369.
In the 1921 Canada census, R.M. St. Peter #369, Henry Bieker, 62, was farming on Sec. 28 of Twp. 38,
Range 19, W2. The children were Allie, 30, Gregory, 23, both farming, and Florence, 21,
Frank, 17, and Henry, 15.
Henry Bieker died 26 Oct 1947, and is buried in the Rosedale Cemetery, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
