Box Elder, Utah. His parents were George Balls Reeder and Mary Ann Craghead. Charlotte Bywater
was born 30 Dec 1872 in Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah. Her parents were James Bywater and Maria
Thomas. Daniel, 22, and Charlotte, 21, were married 2 Jan 1895 in either Logan, Cache, Utah, or Box
Elder County, Utah. (Marriage indexes differ on the place of marriage.) They had a family of
seven children, all born in Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah.
In the 1900 U.S. census, Daniel L. Reeder, 27, and his wife Charlotte Reeder, 27, were living in Malad, Box
Elder, Utah. Daniel was a butcher. They had been married five years, and Charlotte had had three
children, two then living. These were Daniel S., 4, and a baby daughter, 2 months. A daughter
Evebeth had died in 1899 at age one.
In the 1910 U.S. census, Dan Reeder, 37, and his wife Charlott Reeder, 36, were living in Brigham City Ward 2,
Box Elder, Utah. They owned their home mortage free. Dan was a retail merchant of groceries.
Their children were Seth, 14, Evadine, 10, Rotha, 7, Ferris, 4, Noble, 1. All but the youngest child
attended school.
In the 1920 U.S. census, Daniel R. Reeder, 47, and his wife Charlotte Reeder, 47, were living on a farm at
138 3rd West, Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah. They owned their home free of mortgage. Daniel was a
general farmer working on his own account. Their children at home were Evadin, 19, Rotha, 17, Farris, 14,
Noble, 10, and Anna Beth, 4. Rotha, Farris and Noble were attending school.
In the 1930 U.S. census, Daniel L. Reeder, 57, and his wife Sharlet [sic] Reeder, 55, were living
at 138 3rd West St., Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah. Their owned their home, valued at $3,000. and had a
radio set. Daniel was a general farmer working on his own account. Their children at home were
James L., 23, an electrician for Utah Power & Light; Albert, 20, a laborer doing odd jobs; and Anna Beth, 14,
attending school.
In the 1940 U.S. census, Daniel L. Reeder, 66, and his wife Charlotte Reeder, 64, were living at 138 1st South,
Brigham, Box Elder, Utah. They owned their home, not on a farm and the same house as in 1935, valued at
$2,000. Daniel was the owner of some sort of shop (unreadable). Their only child at home was Noble,
30, a truck driver for a general contractor.
Charlotte Bywater Reeder died 1 Sep 1946 at the age of 73 years at home at 154 South 3rd West, Brigham City,
Box Elder, Utah. Cause of death was a ceberal embolism. She was buried 4 Sep 1946 in the Brigham
City Cemetery, Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah.
Daniel Lorenzo Reeder died 4 Apr 1953 in the Brigham City
Hospital, Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah. Cause of death was myocardial infraction. He was buried
7 Apr 1953 alongside his wife in the Brigham City Cemetery. |
