Notes: According to family sources, Albert Clarence Christensen was born 2 Sep 1891
in Oak City, Millard, Utah. His parents were Anthony Christensen and Castina
Lovell. When he registered for the World War I draft in 1917, he was described as being
short and stout with blue eyes and light brown hair. He was a farmer and owned his own
farm in Oak City, Utah. The newspaper reported that he bought a new Ford car in July 1917,
and that he and another delivered beef to the Los Angeles market in Apr 1926. He was
active in the Democratic Party, and was elected delegate to the county convention in Sep 1926.
Much later, in May 1944, he was elected delegate to the state Democratic convention.
According to family sources, Esther Aurora Nielsen was born 31 May 1908 in Salt Lake City,
Salt Lake, Utah. Her parents were Anton Sigvart Nielsen and Laura Anderson.
Albert C. Christensen, 35, married Esther A. Nelson [sic], 21, on 13 Apr 1927 in the
St. George LDS Temple, St. George, Washington, Utah. Their son Myron Whitney was
born 18 Apr 1928 in Oasis, Millard, Utah.
In the 1930 U.S. census, Albert C. Christensen, 38, and his wife Esther N. Christensen, 23,
were living on Canyon Road in Oak, Millard, Utah. Albert was a general farmer, farming
on his own account. The family was renting their residence, which was not on a farm,
for $5.00 per month. They did not have a radio set. Their son Myron W. was
1 11/12.
Their daughter Verona was born 11 Aug 1930 in Oasis, Millard, Utah. In the 1940 U.S.
census, Albert Christensen, 48, and his wife Ester Christensen, 35, were living in Oak City,
Millard, Utah. They owned their residence, not on a farm, with a value of $1,500.
Albert was a laborer, working on a farm on his own account, and had earned $400. in 1939.
Ester had completed one year of high school. Their children were Myron, 11, who had
completed 6th grade, Verona, 9, who had completed 4th grade; and a son Antone, 6. A
daughter, Laura Jean was born 13 Jan 1946 in Delta, Millard, Utah.
Albert Clarence Christensen, 61, died 7 Nov 1952 at home in Oak City, Millard, Utah.
Cause of death was arteriosclerosis, with a contributing factor of Parkinson's Disease.
He was buried 10 Nov 1952 in the Oak City Cemetery, Oak City, Millard, Utah.
According to family records, Esther married again to Ivan Morris Wright (1902 - 1990) on 14
Oct 1969 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. Esther died 27 Dec 1978 in Salt Lake City,
Salt Lake, Utah. She was buried 30 December with her first husband Albert in the Oak
City Cemetery, Oak City, Millard, Utah. |
