Notes: James Noble was born about 1849 in South Leith, Midlothian, Scotland. His parents were James and Helen Noble. In the 1851 Scotland census, he was living with his parents in South Leith, Midlothian. He was the oldest of six children. He is not found in the 1861 Scotland census, and an initial presumption is that he died young. He most likely emmigrated to America, and is the James Noble found living with Andrew Noble in West Toronto, Ontario in the 1871 and 1881 Canadian census records. Andrew was the brother of James Noble, his father, thus making him his uncle. James becomes a cabinet maker, the same occupation as his father. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
