Notes:  Andrew Detwiller and Jane Moore were married either 20 Sep 1871 or 20 Dec 1871*.  Sources 319 and 905 are in conflict.  They were married in the Avonbank Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Robert Hamilton.  Their witnesses were John Pringle, a neighbor, and Susan Detwiller, Andrew's youngest sister.  They made their home near St. Marys, in the Fullerton Twp.  They had three sons.  Alex was born 5 Aug 1872, Harry on 15 May 1875, and Albert on 14 May 1877.  In 1881 and 1891, Christian Detwiller, Andrew's father, was living with the family.  They were probably living in the old family home, as Andrew build a brick house on Lot 31, EMR Concession about 1885.

In 1896, both Alex and Harry emmigrated to North Dakota, settling in the Tyrol Twp., Griggs County, just north of Cooperstown.  Alex returned briefly to marry Agnes Jane Rogers on 14 Feb 1900.  On 13 Sep 1900, Albert died of Bright's disease, a disease of the kidneys.  Andrew himself died 5 May 1901 of a liver disease.  Both are buried in St. Marys Cemetery, St. Marys, Ontario.

Of interest perhaps, is that Andrew and Jane never had any grandchildren.  At the moment, little more is known about Jane.  She died 29 Apr 1916 in Paxton, Montana.  She is buried in the Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, Griggs, North Dakota.
