Notes: William Henry Haley married Gertrude Ida Peters on 6 Dec 1892 in Garfield Township, Ottawa
County, Kansas. He was 26 years old, and she was celebrating her 19th birthday
on the day of their mariage. The location was her family's residence, and J.A.
Sponselle, the pastor of the Lutheran Church, presided. |
In the 1895 Kansas census, William and Gertie were living in Blaine Twp., Ottawa,
Kansas. Their daughter Ida M. was born 24 July 1896, and
daughter Luela Mabel* on 30 April 1900. William was a farmer, renting the land
he farmed.

now owned the land he was farming, with a mortgage. A hired hand was helping with
the farm. William died 15 Aug 1909 from injuries caused by a buggy accident.
He was buried 17 Aug 1909 in the Highland Cemetery in
Minneapolis, Kansas.

young daughters. Gertrude died 18 Jun 1937, and was buried 21 Jun 1937 next to
