Notes: Benjamin H. Robison and Manon Hawley were married 7 Sep 1939 in the LDS Temple
in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. They had dated off and on through high school.
In the 1940 U.S. census, they were living in
Hinckley, Millard, Utah. They owned their house, valued at $4,000.
Benjamin was a case worker for the W.P.A. and Manon was a deputy of some sort in the private
sector.
Benjamin and Manon lived in Hinckley until Benjamin joined the U.S. Marines in 1945.
They now had two children, and Manon and the children joined him in San Diego, California
for several months. Upon their return they lived and farmed in Sutherland, Millard,
Utah for 34 years, raising a total of five children.
In 1978, they were called to an LDS Mission in New Zealand, where they served as directors
of the LDS Visitors Center in Hamilton. Upon their return in 1971, they made their home
in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. Here they served in the Jordan River LDS Temple.
In 1992 they moved to St. George, Washington, Utah, where they served in the St. George LDS
Temple.
Benjamin H. Robison, 82, died 28 May 1998 at their home in St. George, Washington, Utah.
He was buried in the Sutherland Cemetery, Sutherland, Millard, Utah. Manon Hawley Robison,
94, died 11 Apr 2010 in St. George. She is buried with her husband in the Sutherland
Cemetery. |
