Engineer Takes Bride In Formal Nuptial Rites
      Mr. and Mrs. Donald Keith Olson moved into their new home at 1025 South Edith Avenue November 1 after arriving home from a honeymoon at the bridegroom's cabin at Camp Baldy.  Mrs. Olson is the former Frances Dorthea Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Miller, 633 Meridian Avenue, and is a former student of the University of Redlands where she studied voice.  She is a member of Kappa Pi Zeta.  Mr. Olson, a chemical engineer, is an inspectorat the Southwest Welding & Manufacturing Company and proprietor of the Alhambra Planing Mill.  Son of Mrs. Henry Olson, 420 North Second Street, he was graduated from the California Institute of Technology and is affiliated with Pi Kappa Sigma and Pi Alpha Tau.  Both Mr. and Mrs. Olson graduated from Alhambra High School.

      The couple's wedding was a October event at the First Presbyterian Church and was attended by 300 guests.  Rev. Milton S. Weber, pastor, assisted by Rev. James Nelson of Garvalia Community Church, officiated by candelight and a profusion of large white dahlias and gladioli.  Potted palms provided other background and pews on either side of the center aisle were decorated with white tulle bows.

      The wedding processional consisted of Mis Viola Latimer, maid of honor, wearing orchid taffeta and carrying yellow cacti dahliah; and Misa Elizabeth Foree, Miss Betty Jane Miller, Miss Madge Neill Weber and Mrs. Frank Richard, bridesmaids.  All the latter attendants wore apple green taffetas and carried Talisman and gold roses.   Ruth Jean Miller, flower girl, wore white margqusette of apple green taffeta and carried a miniature bouquet of roses intermingled with white sweet peas.

      John S. Stewart was best man.  Ushers were Glen Gordon, Wilfred B. Miller, Robert A. Miller and Frank Richards.  Marion Stewart, soloist, sang "Calm as the Night" and "A Bird of the Wilderness," accompanied by organist John Stewart.

      The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ensemble of white satin and a fingertip illusion veil caught in a tiara of seed pearls.  A string of pearls adorning her throat was a gift from the bridegroom.  White gladioli and stephanotis centered by a purple-throated orchid comprised the boquet.

      A reception was held at the church.

      Out of town guests attending included Miss Miller, bridesmaid, who traveled from New Jersey in order to attend the wedding of her cousin.
