Notes: Stephen (#2) and Frances' eight children were all born in Northiam, Sussex, England
— from 1834 to 1858. Daughters Sarah Ann and Jane married English gentlemen in Sussex, England — in October 1859 and June 1860, respectively. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
In 1860, Stephen and Frances moved their family, except for Sarah Ann and Jane, from
England to the Province of Ontario, Canada. Later, Jane and her husband, also
moved to Ontario. However, Sarah Ann and her husband never came to Canada. In 1861, Stephen and Frances and five of their children were living in a log house in Bosanquet Township, Lambton County, Ontario. Their oldest son, Stephen (#3), was working as a laborer on an adjacent farm. By early 1871, Mary had moved out and Henry (#2) had a wife and child. Before their deaths, Stephen (#2) and Frances lived with their son Henry (#2). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
