Louise Whitthorne.  Napa Valley Register, Napa, California, Friday, February 22, 2002.
NAPA  —  In accord with her wishes, no services are planned for Louise Blanche Whitthorne, 85, of Napa.  She died Feb 19 at a local hospital.  She was born Dec. 6, 1916, in Grants Pass, Ore., and had been a Napa County resident for 54 years.

She enjoyed bowling and fishing and was a member of the Carneros Women's Club.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Hansen of Napa, Candace Fagan of Alpharetta, Ga., and Gayle Belanger of Fairfield; sisters Mildred Duda of Napa and Beulah McShane of Gresham, Ore.; brother George Grable of Bentendorf, Iowa; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Whitthorne.

Her family has asked that memorial contributions be directed to the Hospice of Napa Valley, 399 Claremont Way, Napa, CA 94558 or to Queen of the Valley Hospital Foundation, 1000 Trancas St., Napa, CA 94558.

Arrangements were under the direction of Richard Pierce Funeral Service.
