Notes: About 1909, Abraham and Marion Haley moved into Minneapolis, the county seat of
Ottawa County, Kansas. In the 1910 U.S. census, Abraham, 66, and Marion, 64, were living
on Third Street, Minneapolis. They had been married 44 years, with twelve children, six
of whom were still living. Their oldest son Nicholas, 44 and still single, was living with
them. Abraham and Nicholas had non-income occupations.
Enumerated in the 1915 Kansas State census, Minneapolis, were Abram Haley, 71, retired farmer,
Marian Haley, 69, housewife, and N.J. Haley, 49, retired farmer. Abraham died in 1915 and Nicholas in
1918. Some time after 1915, Marion's sister Mary Davis moved into
the household. |
