Notes: Thomas Jefferson Ferrell and Mabel W. Olson were married by the Rev. S.T. Montgomery
on 18 Feb 1909 in Alhambra, Los Angeles, California. In the 1910 U.S. census,
they were living in Riverside, Riverside, California. Thomas was a shoe
salesman. Their first son, Frederick Byron was born in 1910. They
moved back to Alhambra, and their second son Clifford was born in 1914. By 1915,
They were living at 126 East McLean. |
In the 1920 U.S. census, Thomas and Mabel and their two sons were living with Mabel's parents,
Hans and Mary Olson, at 336 North Wilson Avenue, Alhambra.
Hans and Mary gave tham a house, and from at least 1922 on, their home was at 121
South Granada, Alhambra. They had one son, Eugene, who died in infancy, and one
additional son.
In the 1930 U.S. census, the entire family was living in their Granada home.
Thomas was not a very successful businessman, and the family was supported by Mabel's
mother Mary, and her brother Frank Olson.
Mabel died in 28 May 1934, and is buried in the
San Gabriel Cemetery, San Gabriel,
California. Thomas remarried in June 1937. The marriage was short
lived as Thomas died 8 Dec 1940. |
