During World War II, he worked at Mare Island and then opened a key and hardware store in Richmond, Calif. He built numerous houses in the Bay Area and Lake County. He was also a deputy sheriff in Lake county. In 2005, he moved in with his daughter from Sacramento. He was always very thankful to her for care, especially after he became bedridden for the last year. Bill is survived by his daughter, Lynda (Dave) Hulford; grandchildren, Gary Hulford, Reno, Darrell (Susan) Hulford and Angela (Gary) Midyette, Napa; great-grandchildren, Julie and Christopher Hulford and Emiley and Jacob Midyette, all of Napa, and Lynette Hulford, Reno; brother, Joseph Imboden, Napa; and several nephews and nieces, as well as his close canine companion, Lilly. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Edward, Raymond, Peter, Louis and Donald; and his sister Madaline "Susie" Swanson. The family sends special thanks and sppreciation to Kaiser Hospice, Dr. Kaer and Dr. Krasner. Respecting Bill's request, there will be no services. Inurnment will be private at Tulocay Cemetery.
