El Granada Pioneer Passes On
      Frank Hancock, 81, longtime El Granada resident passed away at San Mateo Community Hospital Tuesday night after a long illness.
      A pioneer in the development of the Coastside, Mr. Hancock had lived continuously in El Granada since 1911.  He was well known both on the Coastside and on the Peninsula.
      He was born in London, England, and came to Canada at the age of three.  He came to the United States in 1901, living in the Sacramento Valley for 10 years before coming to El Granada.
      Surviving are Mr. Hancock's wife. six children, 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.  The entire family resides in California except for one grandson, Leroy Harrison of Burlingame, who is in Japan with the Air Force and another grandson, Larry Webb, who lives in Priest River, Idaho.
      Mr. Hancock's wife, Carrie Hancock, lives in El Granada.  His children are Mrs. Ethel Harrison of 724 Laurel, Burlingame; Mrs. Gertrude Nielsen, 1212 Capuchino, Burlingame; Clifford Hancock, El Granada; Mrs. Alice Phelps, Feather Falls, Calif.; Wilfred Hancock and Mrs. Myrtle Gloss, both of Napa.
      Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today (Friday)at Dutra's, Half Moon Bay.  Internment will be at the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Half Moon Bay.
