Notes: This was the long time family home of Walter and Adeline Noble, located in
Hollywood. In 1910, before they had children, they were living
just west of downtown Los Angeles. In the 1920 USA census, they were living
on Tamarind in 1920, with their two children, William, age 9, and Mary Elizabeth,
age 6. Also living with them were her parents Wilford and Emily Peck.
In the 1930 USA census, they were still here, although Wilford had died.
In 1935, their son Bill married Jean MacCluer and set up their own household.
In 1936, their daughter Betty married Bob Ballard and the couple took up their
married life here. The 1936 voter registration records record Walter and
Adeline, Betty and Bob, and Emily Peck and Adeline's brother Earl Peck as all living
here. In 1938, Emily Peck and Earl Peck are not listed.
In the 1940 USA census, Walter and Adeline are living here, along with Jean Adams, age 21,
a niece. Their home is valued at $2,000. |
