Notes: Frank and his family moved to Wallaceburg in Kent County, Ontario,
after having lived at Point Edward. They were living in Wallaceburg
in September 1902 when Frank, Ella, and Ethel caught Typhoid fever —
and Ella died of it on 26 Sep 1902. Ella's mother Mary was present and helped care
for her grandchildren.
Frank then took the children and left for California. After a brief stay
in Corning with his parents, the three youngest girls were farmed out to be
raised by other California families. Frank then settled in
Napa with his remaining two children. |
