Notes: In the 1900 U.S. census, Frank Walker, 64, and his wife Elizabeth Walker, 48, were living in Oasis,
Millard County, Utah. This was in the Hinckley Precinct. The family had moved from Spring Valley,
Nevada, sometime in 1892. The family settled on a 200 acre farm, which included 25 acres of
alfalfa. Their original house was two small log cabins that they made into one.
They later built a nine-room brick house.
In the 1900 U.S. census, the family included their son George Henry Walker, 24, his wife Alice Stout Walker, 19, and
their daughter Rela, 7 months old. Also included were daughters Anna, 22, Lemira, 15, Laura, 12, and Clara,
10. Jacob Felix, 13 years of age, was listed as an adopted son, recently having arrived from Switzerland.
Two of their children, Joseph and Emma had died in 1892, and their son John, born in Utah, had died in 1894.
Frank was a farmer, and Anna was a teacher. |
