[ http://www.deseretnews.com/article/print/139823/DEATH--Harris-HUNT-GUBLER.html?pg=all "Harris Hunt Gubler, age 82, died December 29, 1990 in Washington, Utah. He was born at LaVerkin, Utah to Joseph Edward and Mary Amelia Hunt Gubler on November 24, 1908. He married Lucille Hinton in the St. George Temple in 1933. She preceded him in death. As a boy, he was involved in the hard work that came with the development of the new town site of LaVerkin. His primary schooling was obtained in LaVerkin, except for one year in St. George. Later, he rode a horse to Hurricane to attend high school, graduating with the first class. He attended Dixie College and served a mission for the LDS Church in the North Eastern States Mission in 1930-32. He served his church as a bishop, a temple worker, and was a faithful home teacher. He is survived by children, Joseph Harris Gubler and wife Dianne of Cedar City; Marlene Workman and Price of Santa Clara; Cherrie Naegle and Than of Bountiful; and Rhanee Ballard of Washington; 22 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren; a sister, Nelma Scow of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by brothers, Edward, Kenneth, Wickley, and sisters, Margarett and Partha. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m., at the Bountiful 28th Ward Chapel, 2185 South 200 West. Friends may call for viewing at the Spilsbury Desert Rose Mortuary, 525 West State Street, Hurricane, Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. and also at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main in Bountiful, Wednesday evening from 6 til 7 p.m., and at the Bountiful 28th Ward, one hour prior to services Thursday. Burial will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery, under the direction of Spilsbury Desert Rose Mortuary." Copyright 2015, Deseret News Publishing Company | ||||
