She was united in marriage to Oscar J. Smith November 12, 1901. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and three living children, Mrs. Howard Henderson of Quenemo; Clement and Bernice, at home. There were two children dying in infancy, Darrell and Marine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Haley, five brothers and two sisters. She has been a patient sufferer for the past eighteen months, never complaining, but wishing for death to relieve her of her sufferings. She made her own funeral arrangements, selecting her own pall bearers and singers. She attended church and Sunday school at the Lutheran church for many years. She was a kind and loving mother and a devoted wife. The strange coincidence in her death is that she departed this life in the same month on the same date and at the same hour that she was married on 25 years ago. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church at Minneapolis Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Seville of New Cambria, conducting the services. Interment will be made in Highland Cemetery. |
