Melba Jean, to Gilbert Roe Caldwell on February 22,
1946. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Caldwell
of Modena.
Mr. Caldwell was a member of the 15th air force in Italy and was liberated from a
German prison camp at the end of the war. He is now attending the Agricultural
college at Cedar City.
Melba Jean was graduated from the Hinckley high school in 1943 and has
lived in Cedar City most of the time since then.
They are making their home in Cedar City."

Tuesday. All of the other children of
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Stewart returned home Monday."

"Mrs. Clara Stewart, returned from a
10-day visit to Calif. She made the trip with her son,
Duane, wife and family
of Provo. They spent 1 day in Los Angeles where Marcia's brother was being
married to a Los Angeles girl. They visited the Vandenberg Missile Base, Lompoc,
with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith (
Florence Stewart) and family - where they saw one of the largest missiles
ever fired. It was real frightening to be so close, hear the countdown and
experience all the noise and tremor of so large a missle being fired, Clara
says. They spent three days with son Don and Elizabeth in Hawthorne, then
on to Long Beach to see Mr. and Mrs. Gil Caldwell
(Jean Stewart) and family; then on to LaHabra to visit
with Mr. and Mrs. Dee Arthur (Delna)
who is teaching school in the Orange School District. They also
visited two granddaughters who are married and have families, Carol Lee Miller
of Orange and Pat Pate Fox and family of Torrence."
